Rising rapper Mr. Lynne Brown is standing “On Business” in his latest release. The lyric-driven track captures his raw, commanding flow and no-nonsense flow and expressive storytelling.
North American-based band StoneTribe are a modern roots and reggae duo who are bringing a refreshing take to the genre. Their latest track “Shiftin’” is a collaboration with Clint Warren and together they deliver the rperfect therapuetic jma that helps us to move away from our daily troubles. Albuquerque, New Mexico-based hip-hop group 2ndVerse comprising rappers UncleBizzy, Jordan Kingston, Croz and producer Solo enter our playlist with their latest track, “No Stoppin.” Over a moody and cinematic backdrop, the emcees trade no-holds-barred verses threaded by excellent vocal scratches that reinforce their stance.
TFlasha‘s “He’s on Fire (feat. Raw Witda Daw)” is an anthemic tune that aims to get us back on the grind and it also pays homage to the classic 90s video game NBA jam. The production has rich synths, anthemic horns and punchy drums underpinned by cathcy lyrics and refrences to the classic video game.

Multi-talented Hempstead, Long Island, New York-based rapper Cuzoh returns to our playlist with his latest release “Slow Down.” Backed by a punchy soundscape and energetic backdrop, he delivers a relatable message to audiences reminding them to slow down and take it one day at a time.
Elcetci underground emcee Bobby Thibs unveils his new single “Economics” which sees him teaming up with fellow emcees $piff and Day Andrade. The result is a cinematic pioece brimming with lush samples filled with keys, strings and soft grooves underpinned by raw, unfiltered raps.
Revoh Wattz is ready for the summer and delivers “No Way” for that purpose. Over a smooth summer-tinged bouncy backdrop, he gives a feel good vibe with laidback lighthearted raps with a catchy hook.
“Juice” is a anthemic 90s hip-hop inspired track from Navitas who links up with Jay2Slik , Mattakrip and Slim Circuit. Bolstered by punchy boom-bap drums, jazzy horns with dusty basslines and a call and response type hook, the crew deliver a classic posse cut reminiscent of early Wu Tang, Gangstarr Foundation etc records.
“Chromesthesia” is a headnodding track from Fresh Prints, DSTL and Nomis. Blending futuristic blips, lush soulful textures and a sturdy drum groove, the emcees deliver a mix of engaging flows ripe with complex rhyme schemes and wordplay that would leave listeners locked in.
Hardworking rapper Showrocka recruits YaH-Ra and Prodbydin for “Do Knowledge (Blackity Black).” This remix has a plucky and prevalent bassline, cinematic textures and engaging synths that raise the ante on the chorus while singer YaH-Ra comes through with melodic runs and a solid verse as well.
“We Win” is an anthemic and celebratory tune from Winnipeg-born, Toronto-based emcee Andrew O.( AKA Andrewoandalphabet). The title is a reference to the small wins that we often overlook but Andrew O. reminds us to always remember it and also its testament to hardwork and resilience in the face of the never-ending madness that life throws at us. The track features singer/songwriter Keisha Booker, who adds a soothing and complimentary touch to the chorus.
The song is taken from his new project May Baby.
Hard working rapper Cold3st goes back memory lane in his new single “Back in the Days” where he reflects on his humble beginnings and his quest to achieve his dreams. The production here is bouncy and the textures are dreamy which adds a nice touch to Cold3st’s aspirational lyrics. Also joining him on the track is Deanté Hitchcock.
The final track we have on the playlist is, “Ride or Die Chick remix” by genre-bending group Roots of Creation who have teamed up with Afroman (of “Because I Got High” fame) and Boston’s own Edo. G. Bolstered by a groovy and summer-tinged production courtesy of Nox Beatz, the sqaud deliver an adulation-filled track for that special someone who is always by their side. Also on the track is musician Greg Shields. The track is taken from the album Inamorata by Roots Of Creation.
