Tre K reminds us of his “Identity” in his latest street banger. Backed by the cinematic backdrop brimming with angelic vocal samples, thick basslines and sparse rhythms, he teams up with 400 Haze Money and Young Diggz88 and together they deliver a quintessential banger.
Jahan Nostra and Italian producer Samir bring together the vibes of North America and Europe in their latest collaboration “Milan Flow.” With Samir’s scenic and dynamic production, Jahan Nostra flexes his verbal biceps and takes the opposition to the cleaners. The visual shot by Daniele Reccia of Nida Film in Milan sees both the rapper and producer duo roaming the beautiful city.
Rising R&B sensation 3kene recently released his new EP, Conflicts of Interest and now he returns with the visuals for the song “On Brand.” The experimental afropop/R&B-infused track oozes raw emotions focused on heartbreak, unrequited love and the distance created by invisible walls. Armed with a distinct tone and expressive vocal style, 3kene explores the pain of feeling stuck in a motionless relationship and despite showing up for his partner he realizes that his gestures are not reciprocated. The accompanying visual brings the song to life as we see 3kene and his lover in real time sharing moments that seem to be one-sided in nature. 3kene is relegated to the background and he is voiceless by all accounts. The visual is pretty engaging and uses motifs and subtle elements that underscore the theme of the song.
Genre-bending musician Duckwrth drops the visuals for his song “I’m Really Changing” taken from his new album All American F⭐️ckBoy. The track is a reflective and cheeky song that plays off the strength of a player who is slowly changing his ways but some elements of his player attributes still linger. The track blends modern R&B with a futuristic vibe and a dash of hip-hop swag. The visual tone is moody, eclectic and engaging.
Hard-working producer Big O shares his thoughts in “What’s in This World.” The track is a reflective piece that sets the tone for his upcoming album When it’s not said, but Done. The production is bouncy, rich, warm and solemn all at once. The visual style uses stick man characters with colorful backgrounds that underscore hope, and the potential for things to go right.
Multi-genre band HISTORY OF TIME delivers a spoken word track “SO MY CHILD” and an accompanying visual. Over a mellow jazzy soundscape comprising solemn horn passes, soft keys and sparse drum grooves with shuffling beats, the lead vocalist Roy delivers a thought-provoking performance that will leave audiences pondering for more.
“Golden Ticket!” is the new release from the duo Nevi Outlyr and HiramTorres. The anthemic track is ripe with thick distorted drums, edgy textures and fiery raps from both emcees. As for the visual, the duo play the roles of Jules and Vincent Vega from the classic Pulp Fiction movie.
UK emcee Giggs returns with the visuals for his new release “11th of May.” The heartfelt track is solemn and introspective as we see Giggs looking back at life. He runs through the setbacks, errors, successes and scars that helped shape him into the man that he is. The title is a reference to his birthday which is befitting as he uses it to take stock of his life. The visual — directed by Myles Whittingham plays like a short film. From the moody lighting and solemn motifs, we get to see Giggs in his element with a touch of vulnerability.
Hardworking rapper RYN SCOTT pours his heart on wax in his new single “if nothing changes, nothing changes.” Backed by the reflective but upbeat backdrop by Ayoley, RYN SCOTT reminds us of what consistency can do to one’s life and he celebrates everyone who sticks to the plan.
Ghanaian artist Black Sherif continues to make waves with his eclectic style. His latest visual is for his song “Rebel Music” taken from his sophomore album IRON BOY and is an anthemic piece about resilience and tenacity. His booming vocals cut through the mix like a ginsu blade and rise to the apex of the chorus section. The visual uses quite a cinematic set piece reminiscent of Mad Max and the dystopian world filled with warriors and survivors fighting to earn their keep.
Eff Yoo drops visuals for his song “Master Plan”, produced by Deep (of 2HungryBros). The production is laidback and somewhat moody while Eff Yoo delivers a blend of boastful raps with storytelling that grips listeners from start to finish. The video shot by Clear Vision Filmz exemplifies their gritty and deep-rooted respect for the culture and should resonate with true hip-hop purists.
The track serves as the first glimpse into Eff Yoo and Deep’s highly anticipated joint project, With All Due Respect, a vinyl-exclusive release available for pre-order now.
UK and Germany collide once more as singer/production team Dré Six and KitschKrieg drop visuals for their new single “Bestie.” The single is a worthy follow-up to their previous singles that center around love, heartbreak and nostalgic themes. “Bestie” is a heartfelt experimental pop/R&B track that sees the singer confessing his true feelings for a love interest and the resulting events that follow. The visual style continues their bare bones back and white style and is mainly performance-focused.
