TeamSquad – “Violet”
Raglan, New Zealand-based trio TeamSquad comprising Ruth, Kane Power (drums) and Odhran Devlin (bass) are blazing a refreshing musical path with their socially conscious neo-soul stylings. Their latest effort “Violet” is an insightful and soul-stirring track that explores the current landscape of the world and the immediate call to uplift the people and spark up their inner fire and passions if you will. The production is rich, layered and dynamic as it slowly soars from mellow tones, sublime guitar licks and a soft groove to a rousing call to action on the chorus. Also coming with the song is the in-studio visuals that capture the magic made by the band.
Canadian rapper Dialect Sosa helped set things with the cinematic visual for his song “Running” which is taken from his forthcoming debut solo album ULTRAVIOLENCE: DECLINE OF A BEAUTIFUL MIND. The track is a masterclass in excellent penmanship and expressiveness. Backed by a menacing and adrenaline-pumping backdrop comprising ominous textures and dark pads with a crunchy drum break, Dialect Sosa takes audiences deep into the crevices of his unique mind pattern with graphic off-kilter rhyme schemes. The visual shot in black and white adds that extra gripping feel to the song as well.

Genre-bending collective NEDLOG caught our ears and eyes with the visuals for their new single “Hot Pink.” The track fuses classic R&B/soul elements with underground lofi raps and the result is a gripping and somewhat psychedelic piece that explores the ups and downs of love. A1 Beanz recently put out his new album DOPE WRAPPER but he returns with the visuals for one of the standout tracks titled “Digital Scale.” Over a dark and menacing soundscape, A1 Beanz delivers hard-hitting bars with a street edge that drops listeners right in the middle of the action. The visual is pretty engaging too as it employs a performance style approach with A1 Beanz in the focus rapping as if he is on a live show.
London UK – Nigerian-born, North Carolina-raised musician Uwade shares the visuals for her single “Call It Draw.” The track is a mellow R&B/contemporary pop ballad that explores the feeling of yearning for a love that seems impossible but basking in the euphoria that comes with it.
