Summary
The North Face has introduced the HKe collection through a collaboration with Dutch artist and designer Johannes Offerhaus. At the center of the project is a sculpture built with the collection’s new SPECTRA® fabric, carried on foot to its remote site by Offerhaus and his team. Once complete, every piece was carried back out, leaving the site as it was found.
The collection itself leans on the same balance of performance and respect for nature. Pieces like the HKe Devils Thumb GTX Jacket and HKe Kalix Down Hoodie are designed for durability in the outdoors while keeping a clean, elevated look. Prices range from $150 to $550, available now on The North Face’s website and select retailers.
The collaboration draws attention to how materials are used and where they end up. It frames outdoor wear not just as gear, but as part of a wider conversation about how contemporary art and design can influence unique approaches to sustainability.
