TEAM WANG design has announced the release of its sixth COOKIES collection, titled “ACCEPTANCE,” marking a new chapter in the brand’s ongoing narrative of emotional storytelling through design. Guided by Creative Director Jackson Wang’s personal journey, the collection continues to explore themes of introspection and duality through apparel and accessories that balance minimalism with intricate craftsmanship.
At the heart of “ACCEPTANCE” is the brand’s first all-white outfit, comprising a denim jacket and jeans that symbolize the act of embracing one’s shadow. Rather than representing the absence of darkness, the design reflects the understanding that shadows exist only because of light. This striking all-white ensemble is juxtaposed against a lineup of all-black pieces, creating a visual dialogue where purity and depth, strength and restraint, coexist within the same collection.
Statement pieces in the collection are designed to embody the theme of embracing and exposing one’s true self. A refined Tweed Tailored Jacket features meticulous embroidery and a customizable detail: a removable layered sleeve with the gradient camouflage print. This allows the wearer to seamlessly transition between a structured, classic look and a more expressive, deconstructed style. Last but not least, the Textured Knit Cardigan features an irregular, distressed texture, visually representing the acceptance of flaws and imperfections, thereby transforming vulnerability into a statement of raw, authentic strength.
Releasing on October 26, the collection will be available via the TEAM WANG design website, official WeChat mini program and Tmall, with prices ranging from $14 – $865 USD.
