TAG Heuer has launched two new special-edition Formula 1 Chronograph watches that honor the enduring legacy of Ayrton Senna. Unveiled during the São Paulo Grand Prix, the releases continue a partnership that began in 1988. Each timepiece reflects a different facet of Senna’s character – one daring and technical, the other rooted in classic performance – while both embody TAG Heuer’s 2025 “Designed to Win” ethos.
The TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph x Senna 44mm is a bold automatic model with a design that draws from Senna’s helmet and his Brazilian identity. Crafted in lightweight black DLC-coated titanium, its sunray-brushed black dial is energized with vivid accents, including a 6 o’clock subdial in the national colors and a yellow lacquered central seconds hand. A forged carbon bezel engraved with Senna’s “S” logo, skeletonized hands and new geometric indices enhance both readability and style. Its caseback features an engraving of Senna’s eyes behind his helmet, while a yellow rubber strap and custom packaging echo the colors of his iconic racing gear.
Meanwhile, the 43mm model offers a more classic yet equally striking tribute. Limited to 3,000 pieces, it reinterprets the S/EL bracelet famously worn by Senna, with its ergonomic double-link design in polished and brushed steel. The black sunray-brushed dial is accented with yellow, green and red details, including a 6 o’clock chronograph counter in Brazilian flag tones and a yellow lacquered hand at 9 o’clock. A black aluminum tachymeter bezel engraved with “SENNA” and the yellow “S” logo reinforces the connection, while the engraved steel caseback and distinctive blue-and-yellow packaging complete the collector’s appeal.
The 44mm model is priced at $5,850 USD, while the 43mm variant retails for $2,700 USD, both currently available through TAG Heuer.
