Summary
We’re quickly approaching the 50th anniversary of Star Wars. The beloved franchise has grown from a Hollywood hit to an empire of its own, sprawling into books, merchandise, theme park regions, and much more.
On the media side, various series have explored the galaxy far, far away. One of the most unique to date is Star Wars: Visions. The first volume saw nine Japanese animation studios present their own take on the franchise, with the second featuring nine studios from around the world.
Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 is nearly here, with nine Japanese studios animating the universe, including continuations of three storylines featured in the first volume. Lah Kara from Production IG’s “The Ninth Jedi” is back alongside Ronin from Kamikaze Douga’s “The Duel” and F from Kinema Citrus Co.’s “The Village Bride.” In addition to this, the Volume 3 key art hints at what to expect from other stories. “BLACK” is one of the new adventures and depicts the “haunted psyche of an Imperial stormtrooper on the cusp of defeat” through psychedelic visuals.
Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 is set to drop exclusively via Disney+ on October 29, with all nine anime shorts available at once.
