In association with Porsche Motorsport, Type 7 has unveiled Artifacts: Porsche Motorsport, a comprehensive large-format coffee table book that offers an unparalleled artistic view into the items, stories, and individuals powering the marque’s historic racing legacy. This edition, curated and photographed within restricted Porsche facilities like Flacht and Weissach, captures over 250 wide-ranging items across 550 pages.

The project, spearheaded by ERG Media, the team behind Type 7, features high-resolution photography by lead creative Thomas Walk, who focuses on the “Raceborn textures, patina, and innovative thinking” of the components. Deep storytelling is provided through collaboration with the Porsche Corporate Archive, alongside interviews with figures like legendary team operator Roger Penske and factory drivers Richard Lietz and Pascal Wehrlein.

Presented in an evocative design in collaboration with Andy Cruz of House Industries, the book features a deep red, embossed, leather-effect cover referencing 1960s archival folders. Weighing 7.7kg, this English-language hardcover, published by ERG Media, retails for €350 EUR (approximately $405 USD) and is a tactile experience for those driven by legacy.
