Ralph Lauren is undoubtedly rooted in heritage – a global heritage, to be exact. And Polo Ralph Lauren remains a critical vessel in connecting RL’s cross-continental home bases and places of brand inspiration through the house’s honed-in ethos and unwavering approach to craftsmanship. For its latest campaign, Polo Ralph Lauren is showcasing its cultural heritage through the lens of personal style, presenting a visual series entitled “Polo & Friends | Tokyo.”

Starring a cast of characters who hold Tokyo close to home, the campaign features men’s fashion director Shuhei Nishiguchi, tailor Hiroki Koda, fashion illustrator Aaron Chang, photographer James Harvey-Kelly, and actor Andrew Lin.

Each one offers up their own interpretation of the Polo vision, culminating in a diverse snapshot of the intersection of craftsmanship, personal style, and the label’s global sartorial influence, as well as a closer look into the “contrasts” at the core of Polo: the space between “energy and stillness, history and invention, tradition and modern ease.”

Shot fully on-site in Tokyo, Polo also presents a series of videos, taking a closer look at each one of the campaign stars’ own personal styles.

“Although I’m far from cutting-edge fashion, I can create something new by approaching it from a different perspective,” shared Osaka-based custom suit maker Koda in his video, while Lin reflects on his Western-inspired aesthetic, and Chang on his collegiate-coded Ivy Boys venture.
