Patta SS25 Pays Homage to the Streets That Paved Its Path

For Patta, the streets have long served as a key source of design inspiration. Imbued with foundational Surinamese roots from founders Edson Sabajo and Guillaume “Gee” Schmidt but with a home base in Amsterdam, Patta revels in the energy of raw moments and real people; it’s this sentiment that heavily informs its Spring/Summer 2025 collection, which sees Patta look beyond its immediate sphere of cultural influence energy to tap into the energy of Caribbean destinations and coastal hubs.

With an emphasis on communal spaces, Patta sought to evoke the authentic feeling of spending time with your community in a range of public spaces, be it a park, public beach, football field or late-night gas station run. To drive this message home, the label enlisted the likes of Sideshow, who flexes a handful of the range’s looks in a brief music video created originally for the campaign.

The collection’s color palate is expansive, placing an array of striking, warm, sun-washed tones of orange, lilac and red up against earthy tones of sand and brown and a compilation of camo patterns in hues of pink, purple and brown. The texture is also key to the collection, appearing in tricot tracksuits, crochet stripes and space-dye jacquard fabrics. Relaxed and retro-inspired, the offering is carried by standout pieces such as the leopard-printed boiler suit, pink waffle set and bevy of bright-colored cardigans.
