Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, DC and LEGO have announced LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, a new action-adventure game that explores the full history of Gotham’s Caped Crusader. Launching in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC, the game brings together iconic moments from Batman’s 86-year legacy across comics, television, film and games — infused with TT Games’ trademark LEGO humor.

The story begins with a young Bruce Wayne training with the League of Shadows and expands into a campaign featuring Batman’s allies, including Robin, Batgirl, Nightwing, Catwoman and Jim Gordon. Players will face off against a range of villains from The Joker and Penguin to Poison Ivy, Bane and Ra’s al Ghul.

Gameplay introduces a new crime-fighting combat system with fluid combos, takedowns and gadget use. Gotham City itself serves as a fully open-world playground, letting players grapple, glide and drive across rooftops, alleys and iconic landmarks. Cooperative local play allows for two-player experiences, while a customizable Batcave lets players display vehicles, trophies and unlockable suits — including the Golden Age Batsuit from Batman’s 1939 debut. Wishlisting for the game begins today ahead of its 2026 release.
