Capcom is bringing back a banger, plus more announcements.

On Tuesday, Capcom held a spotlight presentation, and the game company had plenty to show. We already knew Onimusha was returning with the new installment, Way of The Sword, on the way, but now we are getting a remake of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny and it’s currently in development, according to Capcom.

Samurai’s Destiny first came out for the PlayStation 2 in 2002. It became the highest-selling game in the franchise, becoming a favorite among fans because of its flashy gameplay and branching storyline.

The new enhanced version will be available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in 2025.

The first entry, Onimusha, was also remastered and is currently on sale for $9.99 in digital stores.

Capcom also gave us another look at Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Producer Akihito Kadowaki and director Satoru Nihei joined the broadcast to share more details on the recently announced title, which has quickly landed on many highly anticipated game lists.

Way of the Sword takes place in feudal Japan. The action takes place around historical landmarks in Kyoto, including the Kiyomizu-Dera Temple.

Like the first two games, Way of the Sword introduces a new protagonist who wears the Oni Gauntlet and faces the demonic Genma.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword is ways out and will cut and slice its way onto PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in 2026.

There were plenty of other announcements, including looks at Okami 2, Capcom Fighting Collection 2, and MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics finally landing on Xbox consoles.
