Summary
For many, MM6 Maison Margiela has long been the more “relatable” realm of the Maison Margiela universe, leaning into more accessible, street-ready takes on Margiela silhouettes. MM6’s Spring/Summer 2026 show reminds us of what MM6 calls the “heightened normality” that exists at the brands core.
The MM6 SS26 model, really, is just like us. Rather than strutting down a staged, traditional runway, they keep it casual yet still chic, debuting the new garments on the street instead, right outside the house’s newly renovated Milan flagship store on Via della Spiga. Exuding an effortless, cool energy, each one followed close behind its predecessor, donning a pair of sleek, shielding, all-black sunglasses.
“On the street, anything can happen, and impromptu is the law,” read the show notes, making the sunny Milan street the perfect stage for raw hems, transparent inserts, and a myriad of trompe l’oeil cutaway effects to land in line with MM6’s core classics – pantsuits, trousers, and other tailored pants.
