You don’t have to be a Kendrick stan to know the name MackWop. Even if you’re unfamiliar with his role amongst TDE, you’ve most definitely heard his name shouted out in ‘untitled 02’. For years now, he’s had his own YouTube channel where he covers topics related to Hip-Hop and TDE, but a bunch of other things as well.
Earlier today, he reacted to a Jeremy Hecht video where Hecht documents Drake, Kendrick and Cole’s come up and when they first crossed paths.
In a portion where he watches an old Kendrick interview of the rapper talking to Bootleg Kev about working on good kid, m.A.A.d city, MackWop talks about how Kendrick already had so much of the album done at that point. He proceeds to find something unreleased on his laptop and played it.
It samples ‘Everything In Its Right Place’ by Radiohead and it sounds like it was recorded in 2010/2011. It has a skit on it reminiscent to the skits on Dot’s major label debut too. It’s really refreshing to hear this sound from Kendrick. Check it out below.
