At La Maison de l’UNESCO in Paris last June, Pharrell’sLouis Vuitton looked to “unite the world” with a melting point of global style influences on its Spring 2025 runway. Alongside a collaboration with Air Afrique and Mother Earth-inspired silhouettes, the line was filled with nods to one of the globe’s most ubiquitous sports: football.
Intermingled with jackets, jerseys and shorts modeled after actual match balls, a sleek sneaker informed by a modern soccer cleat dug itself into UNESCO’s grassy headquarters on multiple models’ feet throughout the show. That shoe, officially titled the LV Footprint Soccer, will finally meet shoppers at the end of this month.
The model itself is quite sturdy, with a laced calf leather upper and a padded rubber outsole, while still maintaining Vuitton’s distinguished codes. “LVERS UNITED” iconography meets double-quilted LV lettering across the design’s sloping lines and leather tongue in five colorways: “Black,” “White,” “Blue,” “Red” and “Forest Green.”
Notably, the label’s interlinked logos and floral monogram motifs are stretched to create a five-toed footprint on the sole so that wearers can leave a subtle LV stamp on soft grounds; and the year “1854” is etched onto the back as a reminder of the House’s storied history.
The LV Footprint Soccer shoe will be available for pre-order on Louis Vuitton’s webstore and the LV app on December 26. The model will then launch in stores on January 2. Take a look at the design in the gallery above.
