Lil Yachty has tapped Veeze for a follow-up to last year’s “Sorry Not Sorry,” the duo’s first-ever studio collaboration. The pair has now proved themself as a unit once again on “Can’t Be Crete Boy,” another captivating, collaborative offering.
The just-under-four-minute track is a two-parter, spliced down the middle with a beat switch, shifting from a soulful sample-led beat to a more high-octane one.
“I’m throwin’ it up in the club, the money you’d risk your life for / I’m rockin’ the Concrete Air Force 1, I can’t put a price on it / My twin got big-ass stones in the ear, look like he did a heist for it,” Veeze spits to close out his first verse, teeing up to hand it off to Yachty. “My mama paid three thousand for a bag, can’t even put her phone in it / Paid two-fifty cash for gold Patek, ain’t even have stones in it,” Boat picks it up.
The cut, just like its predecessor, comes accompanied with a Lyrical Lemonade-directed visual, led by AMD Visuals and Little Miles. Watch it in the gallery above and stream “Can’t Be Crete Boy” on Spotify and Apple Music now.
