Summary:
Heritage British audio brand KEF has just launched a new high-fidelity portable speaker, the Muo.
Drawing on decades of technical expertise in crafting high-quality sound systems, KEF has created a sleek, portable speaker designed to deliver crisp, clear audio in everyday life – no matter the activity – without compromising on sound quality.
Standout features of the Muo include Bluetooth® 5.4 with aptX Adaptive™ for high-fidelity, low-latency audio, a 24-hour battery life, a built-in microphone for voice recognition, and an IP67-rated waterproof and dustproof design for extra durability.
In addition to its performance, the Muo is also an aesthetic object in its own right. Designed by Ross Lovegrove, the Muo takes inspiration from KEF’s iconic two-metre-tall sculptural Muon HiFi speakers, making it as visually striking as it is sonically powerful. The product is available in “Silver Dusk”, “Amber Haze”, “Orange Moon”, “Blue Aura”, “Moss Green”, “Cocoa Brown”, and “Midnight Black”, each featuring matching tone-on-tone carrying straps for extra personalisation.
To celebrate the launch, KEF has commissioned three emerging artists – Si Xiazi, Kev Munday, and Ben Poultney (aka ‘Draw My Town’) – to create artworks inspired by the speaker and its colourways. Each artist produced two pieces, with one created live during the launch event.
These works are currently on display at the KEF Music Gallery in London, where admission is free.
The KEF Muo speaker is available now on the brand’s website, and the exhibition at the KEF Music Gallery London runs until October 25.
