San Jose-based rapper JENKINS AVE, unveils his latest music release, “FIDDY STATES/WEIGHTS” for 2025. The track serves as his first release for the year and sees the rising rapper penning his thoughts on class struggle, loss and the never-ending trials and tribulations of being part of the lower class in the US of A.

The track is not only heartfelt, and reflective but it also centres on social-political themes. JENKINS AVE doesn’t mince his words as he brings audiences closer to the action with his punchy flow, vivid lyricism and engaging storytelling. Backed by the soulful sample-driven backdrop ripe with punchy drums, smooth vocal chops and deep basslines, JENKINS AVE sets the tone with lines like I know they hiding the cure/ to leave the lower class hurt/If you saw the way my momma was, she couldn’t even slurp/They really playing with lives, they get on TV and lie/They say America’s the greatest but they killing my pride” which underscore his experience with the infamous corporate-driven American health system. he shows disdain and frustrations on the matter as it hit close to home when his mom required urgent medical care. The song continues with a look at financial freedom and the never-ending rat race to reach the top with lines like Then it’s full circle to Cali when I’m making the figures/Told my momma hold on tight/I pray the lord don’t evict her/Cause I know how they gonna do us, give us money to screw us, the loose nuts, the bootlicking lower class is screwed up.

Overall, the track has a semi-autobiographical feel with a touch of realism and a lot of grit and emotion. Despite the serious tone, JENKINS AVE  also brings an element from the 90s with the Naughty By Nature-inspired hook to add some positivity to the mix before standing on business with the following barsThey really put a ceiling thinking that I’m into watches/I’m only rocking sweat pants,I ain’t the type on Swatches/I’m front of the God/ I speak for people like us, I might just walk up in that bitch and have they ass like we up
