Is my patchbay setup introducing noise?

Hey all,

I’m worried that my patchbay is introducing noise, degrading my signal, and possibly damaging my equipment. In an attempt to make the patchbay easy to use, and nearly TT cable free, I’m afraid that it’s increased my noise floor. Looking for an opinion on whether or not these worries may be true.

The setup below, while confusing as all hell, is as flexible as it is pre-set for my needs. The 8 channels in my Iso booth naturally flow into the preamps then into my converter. I can do this all without a single patch cable. This is unlike studios I’ve worked at and seen, where everything seems to be on top of eachother (Mic Pre Outs on top of Mic Pre Ins, Comp Outs on top of Comp Ins, etc.)

The problem I’m having is when I want to use a different preamp (Great River). Because of how the Patchbay is setup, the signal will go to two preamps at once. I’ve also noticed that I need, seemingly, a lot of gain for vocals (55 dB for a C414 on GR, ~60 dB for a C414 on ISA 428), and that my noise floor sits around -45 dB. This has left me scratching my head as to what the problem is, and I’m left wondering if my patchbay setup could be the reason for it.

Below is my setup, a pdf version has also been attached.

General setup: Redco TT 96-pt patchbay, all normaled, all ground bus.
