Celebrating 30 years of empowering youth through creativity, the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation—founded by Danny Simmons, Russell Simmons, and Rev. Run (Joseph Simmons)—announces a one-of-a-kind charity auction hosted on Goldin. Featuring 24 lots of historic hip hop and Def Jam memorabilia from Russell Simmons’ personal collection, the auction runs through Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 8 p.m. ET.

Proceeds benefit Rush Arts’ national programming, including free art classes, mentorship, and exhibition opportunities for underserved youth. The foundation has helped launch globally recognized artists such as Kehinde Wiley (portraitist of President Obama) and Simone Leigh (Golden Lion winner, Venice Biennale).

“These aren’t just awards—they’re milestones in hip hop’s rise and fuel for the next generation of creators,” said Danny Simmons. “Russell has moved on to wellness work in Bali, but he wanted these treasures to continue giving back.”
