The visual is directed by Autumn de Wilde while the album was written and produced by Florence Welch over a period of two years. She collaborated with a select group of artists, including Mark Bowen of IDLES, Aaron Dessner and Mitski.

Welch’s experience with a life-saving surgery during her “Dance Fever” tour led her to explore themes of spiritual mysticism, witchcraft and folk horror as she grappled with the concept of healing.
