Fivio Foreign has been released from prison following his conviction for terroristic threats.
The drill star was sentenced on August 1 and received time served plus three years of probation following a guilty plea.
He had already spent nearly 200 days behind bars after being arrested in January.
Fivio originally faced up to 20 years behind bars and a minimum sentence of five so could be considered to have gotten off lightly.
The terms of his probation mean he will have to submit to drug tests and not get into anymore legal trouble.
The New York native is yet to comment on his release.
Fivio was accused of pointing a gun at a woman after she asked for help jumpstarting her car in New Jersey on New Year’s Eve.
According to the police report, the 34-year-old rapper warned the woman while aiming a gun at her: “If I see you parked in front of this building again there is going to be a fucking problem.”
Cops were called and there were witnesses to the incident who were able to easily identify Fivio.
The “Big Drip” hitmaker was also caught on surveillance footage from a nearby apartment complex, corroborating the alleged victim’s story.
Fivio was arrested on January 5 and hit with five charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon, terroristic threats, and aggravated assault.
News of the rapper’s arrest did not become public knowledge until March after he had already spent three months behind bars.
Fivio Foreign is no stranger to controversy having recorded a song in support of Donald Trump, as well as being a vocal defender of Tory Lanez over his 2020 shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.
Speaking on Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion Podcast last year, he said: “I fuck with Tory. I know Tory as a real person. In my eyes, I don’t even know if Tory have any guns. I know him. I know his personality. I don’t see him as that type of person.
“I wasn’t there, I’m not a lawyer or no scientist, but if somebody said they got shot and there’s no hole in their body, then they didn’t get shot. We all know that but we know how this shit go.”
