Last week, Ledger returned to Paris with its annual OP3N event series. Dedicated to discovering culture through tech, the latest edition proved to be one of the brand’s biggest events yet as it gathered industry experts to witness the unveiling of the new Ledger Nano™ Gen5 device and the reborn Ledger Wallet™.
Having redefined digital ownership with its Flex and Stax wallets, the Ledger Nano™ Gen5 ushers in a new chapter of the original wallet hardware with its transition into a seamless signer model. Combining the latest technology, the result is a powerful yet compact device that manages assets with top security. Stand-out features include the Ledger Wallet™ – previously known as Ledger Live™ – for buying, selling, and swapping assets, as well as the new Ledger Multisig for businesses making high-stakes transactions.
Taking a deep dive into the system, the recent OP3N event welcomed Ledger CEO Pascal Gauthier, who headed up a presentation on the role of the Ledger Nano™ Gen5. Later, a series of talks with esteemed figures in tech explored the future of Crypto, privacy, and AI in the real world – from the “Design of Desire” panel with interface designer Susan Kare, inventor of the iPod Tony Fadell, and fashion editor Alex Kessler, to “The Unseen Game” moderated by health and wellness writer Joe Holder.
After discussing the cornerstones of digital security, the brand joined forces with art platform Automata to host a cultural takeover in the space. Through the themes of “art, sound, and autonomous creativity,” it brought together the iconic 2021 First Works collection by Abraham, an autonomous AI artist by Gene Kogan. Merging the archive with a backdrop of sounds from notable DJs Avalon Emerson, Bambounou, Mehdi M, and Amina, the installation showcased how rhythm and imagery can merge to create a real and authentic sense of belonging.
