Eminem, regarded by elite rappers as someone who pushed the envelope early, is commemorating his life in the form of the Stans documentary. When the move was announced, it had fans all across the globe waiting for not just the movie, but the soundtrack that comes with it. Many expected loads of new music to be released, but alas, that is not the case.
The rapper has 12 songs listed as part of the soundtrack, featuring fan favorites like ‘Stan,’ ‘Not Afraid,’ ‘Beautiful,’ ‘Bad Guy’ and more, but only one new song: ‘Everybody’s Looking At Me.’ But hey, at least there’s two live recording versions of ‘Stan,’ which is…new (or is it?)
Fans were also hoping to experience more of the nostalgia, praying for unreleased music from D12 and Eminem’s collaborations with his late best friend, Proof. Well, it is what it is, and the best we can hope for is a mixtape that makes up for it. Wouldn’t that be cool!
