Dover Street Market‘s 20th anniversary is a family affair, with the imprint enlisting friends, fellow brands, collaborators and other creatives to contribute to the celebration. In addition to unveiling its stacked slate of collaborative graphic tees and totes, DSM has lifted the curtain on a clean new capsule crafted in partnership with The North Face.
The duo dips into The North Face’s archives, selecting a handful of silhouettes from 20 years ago to reinvent. The 2004 archive North Face pieces include a DSM reworking of the Men’s Himalayan Down Jacket ($800 USD), which takes a sleek all-black silhouette interrupted only by white DSM and TNF branded hits and reflective commemorative reflective patches embroidered on the biceps. A stormflap with a Hook-And-Loop closure covers the center front zip while aqua guard zip chest pockets, reverse-coil-zip hand pockets and an internal chest pocket offer convenient yet somewhat hidden storage spots. An internal hem equipped with cinch cord locks for adjustability, with the hood and cuffs similarly adjustable.
A DSM Men’s Devils Thumb Jacket ($500 USD), however, is a thinner silhouette crafted from a combination of nylon, polyester and cotton. Fully water-resistant, the jacket is stamped with similar branding as the Down Jacket and comes internally lined and insulated. Built with multiple interior and exterior pockets, the jacket is tactically structured with full velcro concealed zip closure and similar adjustability features.
