Summary:
After years of fashion pivoting to digital-first strategies post-pandemic, it’s safe to say the return of IRL retail is so back. Brands are tapping back into the power of physical space to fully express their universe.
Right on cue, Diesel just opened the doors to its latest flagship on Berlin’s Kurfürstendamm. The new space is not only set to showcase the brand’s latest drops across womenswear, menswear, accessories, and a curated edit of standout runway pieces – it’s also designed as an immersive hub for Berlin’s creative community.
Located at Kurfürstendamm 195, on the corner of Bleibtreustrasse, the two-floor freestanding location is a bold collision of typical Berlin brutalism and Diesel’s signature visual identity. The dominating precast concrete foundations are cleaned with the hyper-curated product displays perfectly mirroring Diesel’s alternative luxury edge.
At the heart of the store is a museum-worthy denim zone, featuring a deep-red installation inspired by Diesel’s iconic biscotto logo. House codes are integrated through the use of trompe-l’œil illusions and anamorphic design that turns the space into an optical playground.
Upstairs, the focus turns to interaction. The floor serves as a modular art pop-up space that will bring an interchangeable stream of cultural energy — designed to connect with Berlin’s creative pulse and strengthen the Diesel community through ongoing activations.
A place to shop, sure, but also a space to get immersed, inspired, and plugged directly into the Diesel universe.
