Kentaro Kabaya‘s BAL is going big for its Spring/Summer 2025 collection. The label is leaning into loud colorways and layerable looks for its latest seasonal drop, signaling a sharpening of the brand’s vision; a mélange of style codes and eras, the range lifts inspiration from workwear, sportswear and outerwear – and comes complete with collaborations with Umbro, Diemme, Taion, Russell Athletic and Farah Japan – to offer up a versatile transitional wardrobe.

While BAL oftentimes relishes in earthy and neutral hues, the label’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection sets its sights on a more expansive color palette, tapping into striking all-over patterns and playing around with pops of neon. A few pieces stand out in gradient shades, with a shell and pair of pants doused in a holographic gradient hue and a sunset-coded fitted top merging stripes of blue, yellow and pink.

Breaking traditional form also remains a focus throughout the presentation, most poignantly proposed in the fractured puffer jacket, which is dipped in all black and breaks off in the space between the elbows and atop the collar. Down the line, BAL continues to uses collars as statement-making stages, with the collars of many jackets taking striking pointed shapes.

Umbro contributes on the athletic front, offering up a marble mesh jersey that reads “world wide web. bal original dot comme.” Explore BAL’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection in the lookbook above and, while a release date remains under wraps, stay tuned to a Hypebeast as one is confirmed.
