AJ Christou and Jesse Calosso combine on V-House Sound for new two-track EP ‘Small Talk’.

The V-House sound boss Calosso for the first time since the pair’s 2022 collaboration ‘Powerless’ on Calosso’s Boogeyman imprint, with the release landing as the fourth release on his burgeoning label on 28th June 2024.

Marking the first anniversary of his V-House Sound imprint, AJ Christou is looking set for another busy year, building on recent material via the likes of Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations, Damian Lazarus’ Crosstown Rebels and A-Trak Fool’s Gold while continuing to shape his growing label with a curated selection of material landing on home turf. After working alongside vocalists Aaron Pfeiffer and Amal Nemer to showcase the early sound of the new venture before linking with fellow Manchester favourites Mason Collective for ‘Samburu’ in late 2023, the fourth instalment on the growing label sees a fresh collaboration with Boogeyman head honcho and Bronx-born DJ/producer Jesse Calosso, as the two reunite for more collaborative heat across their latest two-track project, ‘Small Talk’.

Slick and rolling, bringing subtle bass evolutions beneath the track’s vibrant vocals and crisp drums, ‘Small Talk’ is a resonant cut offering an abundance of sun-soaked, warm textures and looks set to take hold of dancefloors across the early summer months, before ‘Apex’ ups the energy levels as shuffling percussion grooves, hazy pads and rich keys merge for yet more blissful house goodness.
