Summary
Sporty & Rich and adidas Originals are hitting the ground running once again on another clean curation of collaborative goods. After a summer spent on tennis and baseball, the Emily Oberg-led label is linking back up with its seasoned three-striped partner to take strides onto the running track.
Fronting the new high-speed foray comes a new footwear silhouette for the pair, presenting a new curated take on the adidas Adistar Control 5. Sifted from the running archives, the sneaker was first introduced in 2008, and comes reimagined through Oberg’s intentional design lens: color-blocked in sleek shades, striking metallic overlays, co-branded sockliners, tongues, and lace-tips included.
The first colorway comingles a neutral grey hue with teal stripes and metallic overlays, whereas the second takes an all-white tone with black and teal striping.
On the apparel front, the pieces lean into an earthy green colorway with co-branded hits throughout, with standout offerings including a collegiate-inspired crewneck and a vintage windbreaker.
Peep the full new adidas Originals x Sporty & Rich range in the lookbook above, and expect it to drop for purchase for a pre-launch on Sporty & Rich’s official webstore on October 1, followed by an official launch via adidas on October 5.
