Hypebeans has partnered with Sanrio to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the beloved character, Kuromi. Fusing the iconic Kuromi’s Y2K aesthetic with Hypebeans’ signature style, the two come together for a set of limited-edition merch and a newly designed café atmosphere.
Debuting at Hypebeans Hong Kong, the locations of the café will be transformed into Hypebeans Kuromi Café, combining kawaii culture with minimalism. Welcoming Kuromi’s signature shade of purple, the space will be decorated in a co-branded merch and will be highlighted with the bold hue throughout. The pop-up will feature a neon-lit silhouette of Kuromi’s head, another added touch to celebrate 20 years of Kuromi. Coffee lovers are invited to enjoy limited-edition Kuromi-inspired Taro Latte and Ube Madeleine.
As for the Kuromi Café merch, highlights include a glam plush accessory, a latte plush toy, a purple Nalgene Tritan 16oz narrow mouth water bottle, an allover motif printed tumbler in black and transparent, a printed t-shirt for adults and kids, and a tote bag. Pre-orders for this collection are available now at HBX until December 18, 2024. Both Hypebeans Hong Kong locations will unveil the Hypebeans Kuromi Café beginning on December 19.
