G-SHOCK has released the MRG-B2000KT-3A, a meticulously crafted limited-edition timepiece that pays homage to traditional Japanese metalsmithing. As the latest addition of its premium MR-G line, this watch features a bezel inspired by the tsuba (iron guard) of a Japanese sword, intricately hand-engraved by master craftsman Kobayashi Masao.

The design showcases a spectacular phoenix in flight, an enduring symbol of resilience, good fortune, and longevity, with bas-relief lines created using the shishiai-bori technique. The bezel’s unique dark blue-green kurogane-iro (“iron color”) is achieved through green DLC coating over deep-layer hardened titanium, while the four bezel screws are set with emeralds to symbolize wisdom and truth.

Technically robust, the MRG-B2000KT-3A features a case with a shimmering crystallized pattern reminiscent of the nie patterns found on Japanese sword blades. It is equipped with a dark green Dura Soft rubber strap that is resistant to discoloration and stains, ensuring durability alongside luxury. The watch includes advanced functional features such as Tough Solar power, Bluetooth® smartphone linking, and radio-controlled time adjustment.
