Summary:
Avgvst and Crosby Studios have collaborated on an interchangeable jewelry collection.
Avgvst is a Berlin-based independent jewelry brand founded in 2019 by Natalia Bryantseva, with a flagship store in Berlin-Mitte. Crosby Studios is a Paris- and New York–based creative firm founded by Harry Nuriev, specializing in design projects spanning architecture, interiors, and branding, with previous collaborations including Nike, Valentino, and Dover Street Market.
Together, the pair has created an interchangeable collection of silver pieces that reimagine everyday objects. The creative direction is rooted in ‘Transformism’ – a movement Nuriev coined to describe his practice of transformation and the creation of transformative experiences. Drawing inspiration from ordinary objects and moments, he reinterprets them into extraordinary, artful statements.
The collection includes 24 everyday objects – such as a comb, sunglasses, a flip phone – along with a special themed drop titled Rock’N’Droll, featuring four music-inspired ‘trinkets’: a microphone, a CD, headphones, and a cassette. Each piece is transformed into a miniature wearable sculpture, crafted in polished sterling silver through Avgvst’s meticulous jewelry-making expertise.
Each trinket can be looped onto a silver chain or a pair of silver hoop earrings, worn individually or combined with others. Through this act of transformation, the everyday is elevated into the realm of art. Each piece, assembled into subtly ironic sets, becomes a wearable manifesto that challenges our perception of the ordinary.
The Avgvst x Crosby Studios collection launches November 6.
