MANDY – Resolute – The Road to the Mainstage

November 6, 2024 – ​ Belgian female hard dance powerhouse MANDY is thrilled to present ‘Resolute – The Road to the Mainstage’, a touching short documentary that provides an in-depth look into MANDY’s journey to performing on the Mainstage of Tomorrowland, as well as diving deeper into her personal story and challenging upbringing throughout the past decade. In 2024, the 27-year-old DJ & producer Mandy Praet, known as MANDY, celebrated her 10-year anniversary as an artist, while making her grand debut on Tomorrowland’s iconic Mainstage in Belgium in July. The short film with unique footage and never-seen-before images is now available to watch on YouTube.

‘Resolute – The Road to the Mainstage’ is 13-minute film, portraying MANDY in the days, hours and minutes before her Tomorrowland Mainstage debut, while also giving viewers an intimate look into how she grew up and became the person she is today. The documentary follows MANDY from the moment she gets to see the Mainstage for the very first time up to the actual celebration on the festival grounds, including several testimonials by her father, as well as renowned artists Da Tweekaz, Dimitri Vegas and Steve Aoki.

MANDY: “For me it’s super special. I always said – if there is one thing I want to do, it’s playing the Mainstage of Tomorrowland. I’ve been saying it since I was little, since the beginning of my career. Everybody said – you on the Mainstage? – watch me. It still feels unreal, a dream which came true. You just need to follow your dreams, trust your own path, and don’t let anyone stop you. A little reminder to everyone with a starting career, stay true to yourself. Keep dreaming and believing.”

Arthur Praet – MANDY’s father: “It’s a dream she has worked towards for so many years. When she was 13 years old, she already told me she wanted to become a DJ. I’ve also been a DJ myself, so I know what it feels like. I know it hasn’t always been easy for her, but she is a fighter.”

Steve Aoki: “The first time I actually heard of MANDY was when 3 Are Legend – Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike and I – performed on Tomorrowland’s Mainstage in 2019 and we played a MANDY remix of a track that Dimitri Vegas added and it was a banger drop.”

Dimitri Vegas: “I actually found out about MANDY through my wife MATTN. She was playing the ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ bootleg MANDY did, and I thought it was really good. I asked her to do a couple of remixes later on. I think she is a great producer and artist, and a great person.”

Da Tweekaz: “We actually met MANDY before her career. We met her when she was only 16 years old, and she was an aspiring girl that wanted to be a DJ. She still has the same passion as she does back to this day. It’s really cool to see where she is today. She worked really hard to get where she is, she just kept going.”

Belgian DJ & producer MANDY (more than 65 million streams on her original tracks) started out playing in local clubs at the age of 16 and went viral after her performance at The Gathering at Tomorrowland Belgium in 2018, whereafter Tiësto wanted to release her official remix for worldwide hit record ‘Jackie Chan’. After the huge response on that remix, she was asked to do an official remix of 2019 summer hit ‘Instagram’ by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike ft. David Guetta & Daddy Yankee.

Always adapting to the crowd she’s playing for, MANDY’s signature sound is a blend of commercial and rave influenced hard dance music, wrapped in an energetic, crowd hyping performance. MANDY has played at major festivals and clubs around the world – 450+ shows in 35+ countries – and is renowned for her distinctive, high-energy performances and catchy sounds. MANDY has a really dedicated international fanbase and next to music she’s also highly into cars, food, and soccer, and gaming – not your average kind of girl. MANDY is hosting her own monthly show ‘MANDY Mondays’ on One World Radio, taking over Tomorrowland’s official radio station every first Monday of the month with a uniquely curated one-hour show.
