It feels as though Jay Electronica is currently trying to make up for about 15 years of inactivity in a single week.
At midnight on Friday, after putting Act I and Act II up on streaming quietly in the days before, the rapper put out a new project called A Written Testimony: Leaflets which consisted of 7 tracks. The next day at midnight, we got another new project, this one 5 tracks long and called A Written Testimony: Power At The Rate Of My Dreams.
Nothing came last night and for all fans knew, that was the end of it. But a very short while ago, another Jay Electronica album hit streaming services.
The new one is called A Written Testimony: Mars. The Inhabited Planet. There are 8 tracks, although in typical Jay Elect fashion, he’s not rapping on all of them and the names of them are very interesting. Check it out below. He rapped about handing 19 albums in to JAY Z a few days ago and maybe he was being literal. It feels as though these albums are being made in real time though, due to some of the samples, plus this one referencing this tweet made two days ago by a fan on Twitter.
