Lueder Turns the Runway into a Mythical Dinner Party for SS26

Anticipation for Marie Lueder’s runway show was building steadily throughout Day 3 of London Fashion Week. The CSM grad typically shows at Berlin Fashion Week and hosts a presentation in London – but for SS26, Lueder delivered a full-on catwalk, and it did not disappoint.

A walkway filled the 180 Strand New Gen space, scattered with smashed red wine glasses, leading to a long dining table draped in a white cloth. This table became the runway, as models climbed on top and walked its length. Around them, a curated group of influencers sat as guests, turning the scene into a kind of fashion fever dream dinner party – in the best way possible.

In past seasons, Lueder’s design world has been rooted in deep lore – medieval silhouettes, folklore dress codes, and mythical references. This collection built on that narrative, taking clear inspiration from the carnival energy of Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet. The influence of this was loud in the details, such as the curled-toe goblin shoes or hooded capelets.

But SS26 wasn’t just about the fantasy – the collection also marked a clear shift toward wearability. A long-sleeve black graphic tee with “unraveling” across the chest, paired with jeans and a buckle belt, made a strong case for grounded, street-ready styling. A slogan tank reading “Beats Are Back,” styled in a similar way, also felt like a clear message from the German designer that Lueder is tapping into a more wearable streetwear moment.

Other standout pieces included deconstructed football-inspired two piece looks, a swamp-green bomber jacket with an oversized collar, and double-layered dark denim jeans.
