Shungu Enlists Navy Blue, Liv.e and More For New Album + New Video ft Pink Siifu.

Brussels-born multidisciplinary artist and producer Shungu announces his new album Faith in the Unknown, out November 7th via Lex Records. A natural curator in his renowned career as a producer, this album represents a long held dream of his to capture a community of voices, energies and sensibilities on record that inspire him. That community includes frequent collaborators of Shungu’s like Pink Siifu, Liv.e, Navy Blue, Fly Anakin, Maxo, dreamcastmoe, Goya Gumbani, Fatima, Chester Watson, Ruqqiyah, and ZEKEULTRA.

The process of making this album “took time, and it grew into something very human, rooted in trust, patience and creative risk,” Shungu says. “It’s also a kind of introduction to a scene I feel close to, a space where experimentation meets vulnerability. I hope the record resonates beyond the surface and invites people to reflect, feel, and question. These songs are conversations, not just between me and the artists, but between worlds, eras, and ways of feeling.”

Alongside the news of the album, Shungu is also sharing new single “Stay Alive” featuring Pink Siifu, who appears across four tracks on the album. The new song, Shungu’s second offering from the upcoming album following “Talk to the Mass” featuring Fly Anakin, Goya Gumbani and Fatima, is a slow burn, G-funk-indebted track that demonstrates Shungu’s ability to craft instrumentals that perfectly serve the styles of his collaborators.

On his collaborative relationship with Siifu, Shungu shares, “Working with Siifu is always effortless, there’s a natural flow to everything we create. He’s one of those rare artists with whom you can travel through so many dimensions, spiritually, sonically, emotionally, without ever forcing it. It’s like moving through fog and clarity at once.”

Shungu has carved out a singular space for himself as an innovative, revered voice in the underground hip-hop landscape, blending jazz-infused sampling with cosmic grooves, along with establishing a Detroit-indebted house alter ego Senga. That personality and distinct ear for instrumentals has cultivated a sense of community across his records with the likes of Pink Siifu, Fly Anakin, YUNGMORPHEUS and more finding a home in his beats. The Belgian producer has served as an accomplished custodian of this community for years, playing the role of an artist who is both deeply rooted in the underground scene and a pioneering force in driving it forward.
