Summary
Ringbrothers has revealed its most ambitious build yet at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering: a fully reimagined 1971 Aston Martin DBS nicknamed Octavia. The commission, which required more than 12,000 hours of engineering and craftsmanship, marks the Wisconsin-based custom builder’s first Aston Martin project and its Monterey Car Week debut.
Beneath the hand-shaped carbon-fiber bodywork sits a Ford Performance 5L V8 paired with a Harrop supercharger, producing 805 hp through a six-speed manual gearbox. The widened stance, integrated structural cage and custom Roadster Shop chassis ensure modern handling to match the raw power. Bespoke three-piece HRE centerlock wheels, Brembo brakes and Fox coilovers complete the motorsport-grade setup.
Design cues balance originality with reinvention. While the Double-0 Silver body honors the Townsend-penned DBS silhouette, sharper contours and exaggerated proportions push the car into contemporary territory. Inside, Octavia features a carbon-fiber dashboard, 3D-printed stainless accents, pleated leather and machined brass door handles. Gentex auto-dimming visors and a full camera suite bring Bond-like touches, underscoring Ringbrothers’ theme: “What would an MI6 agent drive on holiday?”
With Octavia, Ringbrothers has fused British sophistication with American muscle, delivering a one-off Aston Martin that aims to redefine restomod ambition on one of the world’s biggest automotive stages.
