NYC rock band Hazel Gaze releases their highly anticipated second album, ‘Hazel Gaze II.’ Following their 2017 debut, this album marks a significant evolution in the band’s sound and showcases their commitment to improved songwriting, refined performances, and enhanced production quality.
‘Hazel Gaze II’ offers a rich variety of material that spans multiple sub-genres of rock throughout the 9-track offering. ‘Do As You Please’, the lead single from the album epitomises the band’s signature sound, featuring 70’s inspired electric guitar riffs, distinct organ lines and rousing backing vocals the track expertly blends elements of classic rock with modern-day sensibilities to create a captivating sound that’s sure to resonate with audiences.
The album’s lyrical content offers a diverse range of subject matters, the band explains, “Lyrically, we wanted to cover a range of themes from political scandals to personal topics like betrayal and tragic loss.” The album also features lighter themes, including humorous takes on ex-partners and motivational messages about self-reliance and pursuing happiness. “For those who pay attention to lyrics within a song, I’d hope something on the album resonates,” states the band.
