With unique genres continuing to pop up across the globe, Jameson has been on a mission to facilitate the creation of new music by connecting artists through its platform, Jameson Distilled Sounds. Now on its second edition, the brand recently announced that it will be reuniting with Anderson .Paak for the upcoming Distilled Sounds experience in Ireland, where he will support the musicians in their music-blending quest.
As well as leading the group, the Grammy award-winning artist will also be curating this year’s roster with his creative house APESHIT, co-managed by Krystal Miles. In an official statement, she shared, “This isn’t just about what happens during the programme; it’s about where it leads. We’re focused on expanding our roster beyond North America and tapping into artists who are shaping the sound of now from every corner of the world.”
Hailing from South Africa, singer-songwriter Lloyiso kicks off the 2025 programming with his soulful vocals, made famous on the regional talent contest Idols. He will be joined by fellow singer-songwriter Mary Ann Alexander, known for crafting songs based on her real-life experiences in India, as well as Indonesian vocalist Monica Karina and East African singer Xenia Manasseh, who have both gained a vast fanbase with their transcendental R&B sound.
Rethinking the boundaries of pop music, Kazakh musician Moldanazar enters the mix with a ‘70s-inspired synth edge, while Malaysian artist Saint Kylo introduces a timeless funk sound that isn’t too dissimilar to Anderson .Paak’s own repertoire. In stark contrast, Dublin-based Skinner is set to make noise with his alternative punk rock style, drawing from New York’s No Wave movement in songs “Calling in Sick” and “Sour Milk.”
As for Kenyan artist Kethan and EU.CLIDES from Portugal, the two multi-instrumentalists come united in their shared passion for giving new life to their country’s traditional sounds, harnessing gospel, electronic beats, and other forms of music in their craft. Hot off his single “Peace” with Tems, Nigerian singer Manny Wellz rounds off this year’s program alongside Namibia’s Kp Illest, a rapper and dab-handed mixing engineer.
