Christian rapper SO IAM wants us to “Shine” in his latest single. The upbeat track is an uplifting and inspirational piece that reminds listeners to let their inner light shine without fear. SO IAM started recording raps in his dorm room during his freshman year at ASU—at the height of its notorious party reputation. After tearing his ACL, he turned to rap more seriously, eventually dropping out to pursue music full-time. SO IAM became a fixture in AZ’s hip-hop scene as a rapper & producer, releasing projects, producing for Knoc-turn’al, and opening for Camp Lo. In 2008, after years of heavy drinking, drug use, and reckless decisions, God brought SO IAM back to faith, reigniting his mission of redemption & sharing Kingdom truth.
