Nicki Minaj Calls Out Roc Nation For Alleged Smear Plot

Nicki Minaj has thrown serious accusations at Roc Nation, claiming the company is behind a calculated effort to ruin her reputation and attack her family.

The controversy gained traction after Minaj reposted a revealing interview with Demoree Hadley, the estranged daughter of Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez. Hadley, who is suing her mother for allegedly forcing her into a mental institution, made explosive claims linking her own experiences to what Minaj is allegedly facing.

“They’ve (Roc Nation) abused her (Nicki Minaj’s) freedom of speech, they’ve abused her family, they’ve attacked her husband, they’ve attacked her child… It should really scare the American people,” Hadley stated. Drawing parallels between their situations, she added, “If it’s happening to me, I think she’s really outspoken and I’m grateful that she’s being outspoken on it… nobody is safe right now.”

She further alleged that Roc Nation had weaponized its industry power to distort Minaj’s public image: “As an outsider looking in with parallels to my case and some of the things I’ve read about her situation, it’s concerning, it’s frightening, and I do think there is enough to speculate, allegedly, that Roc Nation probably, most likely, abused their platform and their influence to kind of, you know, tarnish Nicki Minaj’s image.”

Backing the claims, Minaj took to X (formerly Twitter) and addressed her critics directly: “To the PMs who claim it wasn’t made clear to ur ugly asses, hopefully Demoree’s MASSIVE & detailed page by page claim gets you all the way caught up. And ummmm… NEVER call me a liar. Never insinuate it either… Vengeance is the Lord’s. Be careful.”

While Roc Nation has not yet issued a response, Perez has filed a countersuit against her daughter. The situation continues to unfold.
