For his HypnoVizion debut, Shlump has unleashed a powerful original that will wobble throughout festival dancefloors this summer. True to his alien bass aesthetic, ‘Drum Beats Go Like’ blasts into an out-of-this-world scorcher laden with zippering synths and grizzled basslines. A high-octane journey into the vast depths of hypnotic bass music, Shlump has delivered a jaw-dropper with ‘Drum Beats Go Like’. 

“I was listening to a bunch of Aphex Twin and Squarepusher, and got inspired to try something different. I thought it would be cool to do a track that took inspiration from that style of drum work. When I listen to old IDM one of the things that stands out to me is it’s unpredictable and exciting because the track goes places you never imagined. I wanted to make something that had this type of effect fused with some heavy bass. This is the basic thought process and intention I had when making ‘Drum Beats Go Like’.” – Shlump

Infusing elements of classic dubstep with the west coast flavor of his Bay Area upbringings and proclivity for otherworldly sound design, Shlump (aka Michael Petzel) has pioneered his unique ‘Alien Bass” sound.
