Halifax hip hop legend Tachichi shares his sophomore single “At the Top” as he prepares his upcoming album. The single produced by fellow Canadian legend Classified is a soul-stirring piece ripe with lush ominous keys, layered strings and punchy drums underpinned by Tachichi’s expressive flow, internal rhyme schemes and a smooth melodic chorus from singer LxVNDR.
Musical trio Poor Legacy, comprising Nailz, D-Note (Keyboardist), and E-Rhythm (Drummer), share new single “Duet (Song of Songs)” featuring singer Charnel. The fusion of atmospheric stings, ethereal pads and hushed drums underpinned by layered melodic runs from the singers and emcee makes this quite engaging from start to finish. Jae Anthonie teams up with Artifice and theVisionary for “Toxicity II.” The track explores the ups and downs of chasing one’s dreams and the experiences and characters that he came across.

Hamilton, Ontario-based artist Banman caught our ears with his new single “Didn’t See Me Coming,” which is the lead single from his new EP. The track has a dark cinematic texture and punchy drums underpinned by off-the-cuff lyrics.
Rising rapper Majin Murda teams up with legendary Harlem-raised rapper Cam’ron for “LETHAL.” The track pairs two emcees from different generations and shows the lineage of lyricism frommthe young to the OGs.
Croydon, SE London-based rapper/producer Will-Powerz embodies the raging spirit of the “Unambitious Bearded Freak.” The track is a showcase of lyrical dexterity and an unapologetic demeanour from the rising rapper.
Underground rapper Tesh teams up with fellow rapper HollyBoogz for “Beto,” a heartfelt track that explores their respective lives and the life-changing experiences that brought them to where they are now.
Multi-faceted producer/singer/songwriter Proh Mic sends a “Special Request” to the listeners. The funk-soul track exudes pure bliss and nostalgia and sees the singer celebrating life through music and dance. Fro the lush funky synth lines, plucky leads and undeniable groove, he delivers a feel good jam that gets the crowd going.
3RD3Y3‘s “Aryeon Szela Pt. 1” is a thought-provoking piece that is ripe with edgy lyrics that dive into the concepts of Word, Sound, Power in breath and conscious meditation. The soulful soundscape serves as the backdrop for the rapper’s vivid lyricism and off-kilter flow. The title is from ancient languages, “Aryeon” is mash-up of words for Lion, and “Szela” is an amalgam for Sheep/Goat
Assembly Sounds and craftedbytyler team up for “On This,” a mid-tempo punchy track ripe with moody textures and no-holds-barred raps.
The late indie rapper Dip Black goes ape shit in his new single “In This Bitch” featuring 613tino. The dark and ominous production drives the track while Dip Black’s energetic flow runs the gamut.
Emerging R&B/pop singer Sofia Eleni enters our playlist with “Inside Edition.” The track is a testament to the female intuition and captures Sofia Eleni in her element. Her vocals ar pitch perfect, sultry and dynamic and her songwriting is engaging from start to finish.
West Coast emcee Trizz steps to the podium with “Snakes In The Grass .” The moody and ominous track produced by Python P is lyric-dense and also features the legendary Ab-Soul, and the result is a brilliant jam that showcases different skill sets from the emcees.
