On July 12th, A&B’s Tony McGuinness will release ‘Salt’, his debut album and long-lost solo project. The album pre-dates the A&B era of Tony’s musical career, written between 1994 – 1995 during a pivotal chapter of his adult life. The resulting nine-track album is the product of a classic ’90s whirlwind romance in London, which inspired the songwriting and is the underlying story behind the project.
Nearly 30 years on, the album will finally see the light of day. The first single ‘Biker Babe’ is out now on Anjunabeats. Check out the full music video
“She had a Triumph motorcycle T-shirt on,” says McGuinness. “And I just went twang on my guitar and sang: ‘biker babe, biker babe…’. And that’s how that song came.”
‘Biker Babe’ is the first single from Tony’s forthcoming album ‘Salt’, written before he would become the chief “male voice” lyricist in Above & Beyond. Inspired by Twin Peaks, the ‘Biker Babe’ music video honours the connection with footage captured at iconic locations from the tv series.

The album is available as a limited trifold sleeve CD which includes a ‘Salt’ guitar pick. It can also be purchased alongside a limited edition ‘Salt’ t-shirt – exclusively on the Anjuna Music Store.
