PlayStation is expanding its hardware offerings with the introduction of a new 27” Gaming Monitor, specifically engineered for the desktop gaming setup alongside the PS5 console. Developed by Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), this monitor addresses the trend of players seeking flexible ways to enjoy their games outside of the traditional living room setting. Shuzo Kikuchi, VP of Product Management at SIE, noted the new monitor offers another option for players, launching in the U.S. and Japan.

The display itself features a Quad High Definition (QHD) IPS panel with a resolution up to 2560×1440, allowing for comfortable desk viewing. Crucially for PS5 and PS5 Pro players, it supports High Dynamic Range (HDR) with Auto HDR Tone Mapping to automatically optimize picture quality upon setup, ensuring rich and vivid visuals. Performance is smooth and seamless with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support and refresh rates up to 120 Hz for PlayStation consoles, or 240 Hz on compatible PC and Mac devices.

Adding to its functionality, the monitor is thoughtfully equipped with a built-in Charging Hook for a DualSense or DualSense Edge wireless controller, making it easy to transition directly into a gaming session. This 27” Gaming Monitor pairs well with the recently announced Pulse Elevate wireless speakers, as both products are tailored to offer a high-quality visual and audio experience for personal desktop gaming spaces.

The monitor will launch in 2026 in the US and Japan.
