Alex Grover is the man behind Because of Art, a project that has quickly made a mark on the underground with cultured productions that pair great synth craft with serious dance floor know-how. They have come on the likes of Danny Howard’s Nothing Else Matters, Anjunadeep and, of course, Last Night on Earth and have seen him topping Beatport charts whilst receiving strong DJ and BBC Radio 1 support. He was last on this label in 2023 with ‘Fused’, a standout collaboration with Sasha.
Says Alex, “After collaborating with Sasha last year, it inspired me to make some more progressive-sounding music. The outcome was ‘Transient’ & ‘Real High’. LNOE was the only home for them in my mind. The two progressive tracks are complemented by ‘You’, which is more of my classic BOA sound.”
The stylish ‘Transient’ is uplifting electronica rich in meticulous melodic design and rousing synths. An angelic vocal hook is drenched in reverb and brings spine-tingling emotions to the dance floor. ‘You’ is another lush and widescreen sound, this time with more weighty drums and direct energy in the grooves, but lovely synth ripples and twinkling melodies up top that get your head amongst the stars as the heavenly pads douse you in waves of positivity. Closer ‘Real High’ brings loopy and elegant arpeggios and more celestial vocal shimmers that will get hands in the air and eyes closed as dancers get lost in the trance-inducing sounds.
