The announcement arrives just about a year after Anderson’s appointment as Creative Director of Dior’s men, women’s and couture collection. He’s the first designer to head all three divisions since Monsieur Christian Dior.
WWD adds that the Dior cruise show in Los Angeles will take place just four days before Nicolas Ghesquière’s Louis Vuitton cruise 2027 show in New York City. The decision signals a broader strategy by luxury brands to court US buyers as the market gradually recovers from a two-year sales slump.
