Hermès’ Hermessence collection introduces its latest chapter, “An Oriental Dream”, unveiling three new fragrances that open a dialogue with the East. Created by Christine Nagel, Director of Olfactory Creation for Hermès, the scents explore the rich and contrasting landscapes of a fantastical Orient, pushing the boundaries of olfactory artistry with elegance and imagination.

Among the new creations, Agar Ébène combines the depth of agarwood with the resinous freshness of balsam fir, while Vétiver Tonka softens earthy vetiver with the gourmand warmth of tonka bean. Other compositions within the collection, such as Santal Massoïa, with its milky woods and dried fruit nuances, or Ambre Narguilé, a swirl of amber, honey, and spice, highlight Hermès’ ability to surprise through unexpected pairings. Together, these fragrances reaffirm the house’s commitment to crafting scents that are not only wearable but also poetic encounters—each one a sensory journey that lingers on the skin and in the imagination.
