As the week in music comes to a close, Hypebeast has rounded up the best projects for the latest installment ofBest New Tracks.
This week’s lineup is led by Dr. Dre x Snoop Dogg, the late DMX and BNYX with Lil Yachty with the release of their albums Missionary and Let Us Pray: Chapter X, and the single “Smoking In The Rain,” respectively. Also joining this selection are fresh offerings from FearDorian, Valee with Surf Gang, 070 Shake, Offset and Roc Marciano with The Alchemist.
Snoop Dogg x Dr. Dre – Missionary
Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre still have the Midas touch as evident in their newest album, Missionary. The followup to Doggystyle arrives 31 years after its predecessor and features an impressive array of guest appearances from BJ The Chicago Kid, Alus, Jhené Aiko, Tom Petty, Jelly Roll, K.A.A.N., Sting, Method Man, Smitty, Cocoa Sarai, 50 Cent, Eminem, Dem Jointz, Stalone and Fat Money.

DMX – Let Us Pray: Chapter X
The late DMX’s spirituality is highlighted in his his new posthumous album, Let Us Pray: Chapter X. The eight-track album features guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Mary Mary, Killer Mike, MC Lyte, LeCrae, Terrace Martin, Lena Byrd Miles and RoyzNoyz Orchestra in the first half and is fully instrumental in the latter, with GRAMMY-winning songwriter and producer Warryn Campbell accompanying X’s spoken-word messages.

BNYX x Lil Yachty – “Smoking In The Rain”
BNYX enlists Lil Yachty for his second official single, “Smoking In The Rain.” The single arrives after “GO AGAIN” featuring Yeat and marks the producer’s newest collab with Yachty following the likes of “Bad Cameo,” “Three Six Talks” and more.

Valee x Surf Gang – Grey Sky London
Surf Gang’s evilgiane teams up with Valee for the new project, Grey Sky London. Thoughts for the project began when the pair linked up at Valee’s home studio, and went on to feature additional production from Surf Gang co-founder Eera. “Most producers just send beats now so it was dope to actually sit down with evilgiane and work on this project together,” Valee says in a statement. “It’s a whole new sound and style for me.”

070 Shake – “Vagabond”
070 Shake delivers an accompanying music video for her Petrichor track, “Vagabond.” Helmed by Bennett Watanabe, the visual drifts against a black background and is punctuated by motifs of flashing light bulbs and falling rain.

Offset – “Swing My Way”
Offset continues his steady run of releases with the new single, “Swing My Way.” The track arrives with a music video directed by Kid Art and co-starring supermodel Anok Yai.

FearDorian – “Pray 4 The People”
Rising artist FearDorian drops off his new single “Pray 4 The People” after his collab album A Dog’s Chance with Polo Perks and AyooLii. The 18-year-old delivers a high-octane, Jersey Club-infused track fueled by his mad dash flow.

Roc Marciano x The Alchemist – The Skeleton Key
Roc Marciano and The Alchemist reunite for the release of their collaborative album, The Skeleton Key. The joint has no guest features and arrives about two years after their 2022 effort The Elephant Man’s Bones. “Me & Alchemist, we the gatekeepers, Key Makers, your shit don’t shake unless we sanction it,” Marciano shares.
